Online Earning: It is not going to be easy...

Every article that we read, and every YouTube video that we go through, the answer that they give is all yet so simple. There are tons and tons of schemes out there to help make us tons of money. The how-to guide, tutorials, and with the excess of information flowing in through YouTube and other channels, we tend to launch ourselves. Still, the takeoff never takes place, because in the world of billion users and roughly of the same content flowing in and continuously increasing. The technology that we learn is also evolving.

It doesn’t matter how much we have learned; the internet will tell us that it is not enough. In this way, a person gets locked up in a vicious never-ending cycle of continuous learning and never getting the time to take the first step.

First Things First
The first step is the hardest, and the momentum builds on from here. So how to take the first step. Even though there are a ton of tutorials out there but never enough training materials.

The first thing to consider for a person trying to make it in the online world is to see what is that he is passionate about or good at and can sustain doing for a longer period without getting tired.

Remember when you are competing against a whole world of people who are usually more skilled than you are, the only way to succeed is to practice a lot and make your skill sharp.

If you don't like what you're doing, the chances are that you will quit soon. The cash doesn't start coming in quickly, so the first few hours or days or months, you have word hard and make your self expert in the skill that you have learned. Remember, whatever you are doing, that is an investment towards a goal.

So this is how to start, below are some of the best sites both free and paid which give you a foundation upon which you can build your skill.

It is an initiative taken by the ministry of information technology and give free courses in different vocational fields. You can get hands-on training from the one the most sought out professionals of Pakistan from WordPress to creative writing. There is something for everybody here.
Each course is 24 hours long and extends for 3 months in which the trainee has to take different quizzes and submit assignments as well.

One of the first MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) platforms that I first enrolled. It has courses for everyone and gives an excellent platform to learn new skills.

Every course is free, however, if you opt to choose for the certification, then there is a very nominal fee for that, in the paid versions some of the course content will unlock quizzes and assignments as well. Still, it's totally up to you. The free version will give you all the lectures, and that Is enough, you can always get the relevant material to practice on through google.

There are a ton of courses, both paid and free. The paid version, the discount coupons are readily available on google. Just read the reviews, and students enrolled to get an idea about the effectiveness and efficiency of the online course.

YouTube
Use this platform to sharpen your skill further. Besides many tutorials, there are some excellent pieces of training available in graphic design and freelancing by Sir Imran Ali and Sir Hisham Sarwar, respectively.

Getting organized
Remember, whenever you are starting to do something new, what is your plan? What are your expectations? And what is your research in the market that you are venturing to?

For everyone new, remember to respect the marketplace where you will be going to sell your services, and the market will respect you back.
Try to cheat your way in and out. You risk not only your credibility but also your country's credibility.

Research different platforms where you can sell your services. Some of the most popular ones are fiverr.com, upwork.com, freelancer.com, and guru.com.

Once you have the basics, the next thing is to develop a business plan, highlight your vision, where you want to be, and your mission Statement.

The mission statement should cover these essential points,
who are you serving?
What is your product?
How is that makes you different?

Make a SWOT analysis of your Business. For those of us don't know about SWOT, it's a 4 X 4 grid where we highlight all our strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to give an idea of where we are and where we are going.
One point to remember that the business plan is not constant and should be changed with the changing environment. The only thing that should remain unchanged is your vision.

Showcasing your skills
There are tons of websites both free and paid where you can start to build your portfolio, some of the notable mentions are

WordPress
WordPress is a free content management system that boasts about having to power about 30% of the total websites, The best thing about it is that it's easy to learn and comes with so many add-in features called plugins that one can use to boost the power of your website.
There are many hosting plans out there, but if you are willing to use a reliable resource, it is suggested that either go for Bluehost or HostGator or GoDaddy.

There are free hosting sites also available with paid plans that you can further upgrade to when required. For the free ones, my suggestions would be cloudaccess.com.It has a training portal also available for both WordPress and Joomla (another CMS system)

WiX
If you like to have a canvas where you can easily drag and drop and build your site, then Wix is for you, it is a highly customizable website option, which also comes with a free version ( containing ads) and a paid version as well. The pricing is also very economical.

Blogger
What is a better option than to use google servers for hostings? Even though with limited functionality. Blogger could be used as an excellent platform to show off of your skills.

Last but not the least.

Have yourself a management app to keep you updated on your daily tasks so that there is nothing you can miss. The best option over here would be to use Evernote. Download it and use it to save your ideas, your plans for the day, and many more.

So, in the end, it is not going to be easy, but it will be worth it. Whatever you think are good at, whatever your think should be done to make this world a much better place and make Pakistan proud, now is the time to get out there and do it.
